Naturally, the more traffic you drive to your website, the quicker and bigger you will be able to build your list. But there are ways to get a higher percentage of your website visitors to opt in and give you the right to contact them. So you've a site and you have a newsletter. Now you wish to get folk to essentially opt-in and subscribe to your publication. So how does one do that? Well, this used to be as straightforward as putting a little box on your internet site that recounted "subscribe to my newsletter." Sadly, those days are gone. Now getting folk to opt in to your newsletters is significantly trickier, but it is still terribly do-able. Folk do not want spam, but rather they want high-value content from you. Naturally, just promising good quality content is not enough either. You are likely going to want to bribe them to opt-in by offering a free report, instructions, videos, podcasts, software something that may legitimately give them value. And are you prepared for far more bad news? Folks are so doubtful nowadays that they do not even make a response to bribes as well as they used to. So just what the heck are you meant to do? I will admit that I have been using them for a few years now although I just heard the term reverse capture page a few weeks back, but I love the name reverse capture page and I am able to tell you from first hand experience that it works. One way that I love to implement reverse capture pages is at the base of a blog post or article, to offer a free report if they opt-in to my newsletter. At this point, they have already seen some of what I provide and aim to offer, and if they like the content I am providing, they are sure to desire more, therefore the free report and my newsletter. Now when you start sending them your ezine, don't start bombarding them with promotions yet. You want to provide them with quality content in your newsletters, as to gain a good rapier with them, making them more likely to buy later. Yes, getting folks to opt-in and to earn money from those customers is tougher than before but if you take the time to do it properly and do it competently, you may still be recompensed with high profits.
