My friend Jim is promoting his business using SEO. He was writing a press release when I last visited him. I was surprised. You can gain instant publicity through press release as it will help you to get more prominent news rankings and flash the limelight on you in media stories and product reviews, and link the interested reader to your company's website and hence ensure increased traffic to your website accompanied with sales.

This means that all those who subscribe and read these news websites will come to know of the press release if it is indexed by the search engine. The publicity for your brand and website increases resulting in an increase in traffic to your website and thereby sales.

People love reading the news and are always on the lookout for good stories. If you can give the reader good, genuine stories through press release then you can definitely carve a niche for your company. So ensure that your story interests the reader and is not in the lines of an advertisement. If the reader senses an advertisement then the press release will lose its value.
