So you're trying to find a way to advertise your home based business that's a bit different from just using Craigslist. How about crafting solos ads to advertise in ezines but in a different way?

When you're writing your solo ads you should tell people what they're thinking and feeling as they read your ad. People will start feeling what you're describing to them. Your statements should help sell your business. For example, you could say something like, "As you're reading this ad, think about how you'll feel when the salesman asks you how will you be financing your car purchase today and you say ...cash!"

What about creating an online club? You could tell your visitors what's included in the club membership and what it costs to join. Offer them a free membership if, in exchange, they link to your web site. Think about it, you will either make money or get some no-cost advertising.

Form a strategic alliance. A strategic alliance is when two or more businesses join together for a set period of time. The businesses, usually, are not in direct competition, but have similar products or services that are directed toward the same target audience. Ex. Your Work from Home business and a Direct Sales business.

You should send your web site visitors a "thank you" email. This will remind them to revisit your website. Just get their e-mail address and permission. For example, you could say, "Would you like to be notified by e-mail when this web site is updated with new information? Click here to sign up."

If you're not good at public speaking, invest some time with "Toastmasters". You could then become well-known by speaking at seminars in your local area.

What about creating a group where all of the people who joined would have web sites on a similar subject, like home business and link them together? Everyone who participated would be linked to your website.
