A web host is used to store the website that you have created on their servers and then it is transmitted to the internet for your customers to find. When considering web hosts it is important that you choose wisely, it is imperative that the web host you choose has an excellent support system should you happen to have any problems with your website. Expensive doesn't always mean better, when choosing a web host you should always choose the least expensive service plan. Many people purchase the more expensive plans because they are unsure of how much space they really need. When choosing your plan you should take into consideration the size of your site and calculate the amount of space needed, do not overspend on unnecessary space.

Once you have chosen your domain name and a web host your next step is to build your website. In order to build your website on your own you will need to use a website builder. Website software can often be found for free from the web hosting service you chose. If your web host doesn't offer the software there are plenty of free versions that you can use. When designing your website it is important that it flow easily and that the information is exactly where it should be. The easier it is for visitors to navigate your website the more likely they are to return again and again. You should also proof read all of the information on your website and test all of the links you provide to make sure that they work correctly.

After you have completed all of the steps above you are ready to start doing business on the internet. The more well-designed and easy to navigate your website is the better your chances of creating a large customer base with plenty of repeat visitors.
