Now don't get me wrong. I have no illusions folks searching for Rusty's story are going to hire me or buy my products. However, it did show me a crucial key to online video success: When you can relate your video to a topic or story that is already hot, your traffic goes through the roof. So here is how you can take advantage of my 'Rusty Secret': First, search for videos on YouTube using keywords people might use to search for the videos you want to create. And find out what is already popular. What is already hot. What is already working. What is already attracting alot of views. Then simply create videos on a similar topic, so you can capitalize on the pre-existing traffic and pre-existing interest. Now be careful here! I am not asking you to copy someone else's work. That is a strict no-no! But you can create a video on that topic that provides your own take on the popular topic, with your own unique slant on the information. And because that topic is already being searched for, you funnel a portion of that pre-existing interest to your video. Cool!
